Fuel filter leaking

I changed the fluids in my grinder and the new fuel filter was leaking from the seal. So I took it off, cleaned the housing and made sure the deals weren't doubled up and tightened it back up. Still leaks. I bought a new filter, still leaked. Tried the seal from the old one that didn't leak, leaked still.

Is there something I'm missing here? This hasn't happened the last two times I've done the fuel filter in the past.

I tightened a filter too tight once and got a flat o-seal to curl up a little and leak.

It's the same numbers as the one that was on there.

spin-on filters will generally specify how much to turn once contact is made (seems like often 3/4 revolution). Are you accurately marking (smudge of grease or something) to get the right amount of rotation? Lubing the seal before installing?

Check your in/outlet fuel lines. You may have cracked a line whether it be a soft or hard line.
Just something else to check. Hopefully this helps.
