Fu*%face Von Clownstick

Anybody surprised that our new sexual assaulter and chief is nominating like minded men for cabinet positions. Looks like Gaetz withdrew his nomination today, so for now we don’t have to worry about a serial statutory rapist running the Justice department. We also got the complete police report on secretary of defense nominee Pete Hegseth who was accused of raping a woman in 2017. Nothing but the best and brightest?

oh but how much of that is just a conspiracy theory?
one thing this election has made clear is that the cult members will not be convinced of anything, no matter the evidence.
Well, this is a pretty benign "conspiracy", and not very secret.
This time the "cult" was the majority, according to you one may think a cult couldn't be the majority.
Though I think a cult, is simply ignorant [in some rare cases, naive] following of a idea or person with little to no individual critical thought.

Elite means the ones or organization that are at the very top, in terms of authority and proliferation.

Any of you want to talk about something scary, that makes this

House passes bill allowing Trump admin to declare nonprofits terrorists

look like peanuts, look up what can [has been] done to those that try to have a small farm, that cannot pay big lawyers to file them, as a "non-terrorist" entity. Maybe RFJ will help fix some of this.

Bingo!
Elite means the ones or organization that are at the very top, in terms of authority and proliferation.
Excuse my ignorance, but how are republican politicians not elite, but dems are? Are not all the politicians members of 'the elite'? How is elon not 'elite'? what flavor is that kool-aid y'all are drinkin' there?

Yes of course they are. It's just easier for people to vilify the opposing side as cultists and elitists whether it makes sense or not :D
To be clear, I see the hardcore dems that defend the status quo as a cult as well. Both sides seem to revere money over all else.

hard to say their election strategy failed if we instead view it as a big donation-generating machine to fund party sinecures and consultancies burning through a billion dollars in four months. their collapse at the ballot box isnt even prompting introspection on their part much less a change in party leadership at any level, just more scolding of the electorate and conspiracy theories about foreign interference.
What Don’t the Democrats Get? Almost Everything.

they cant even blame third parties this time:

how embarrassing. if they continue as they are they'll lose in 2028 as well completely irrespective of executive criminality in the next four years

100%

I hope the Costco night shift isn’t changing prices overnight. I’m going to invest in syrup and tequila. Hopefully before this tariff thievery starts

Will Stihl products made in the US be tariffed? Subaru?
:birras::payaso:
Fuck, good point. Great, now I'm checking the bank account and considering a few backup saws.

yup and at this moment 0 pro saws... Just Homowner crap and 'Ranch' non fixable saws are made in the US.
At least by my first glance... How long (if ever) would it take them to get production going for pro models...

Husky In Arkansas

es! Husqvarna maintains a large manufacturing location in Nashville, Arkansas, covering an 874,000 square foot facility. This facility is responsible for manufacturing several Husqvarna products, including chainsaws and trimmers. Additionally, it also serves as a warehousing and storage center. For those concerned about environmental impact, it's worth noting that this U.S. site is powered by a solar power plant.

Lots of assembly happening in those plants, but what about the manufacturing of each of the actual components? I am sure they manufacture some pieces, but from what base material stock? Is all the metal actually manufactured in the US? The plastics? what percentage of their materials are actually made from materials that are produced elsewhere? Will those raw materials have the tariffs imposed? Toyota, Hyundai, VW, and others have US assembly plants, but how much actual manufacturing happens in there? Where do they get their raw materials? The modern world is so deeply interconnected, it's not so easy to tell people to just buy American.

Some time ago I read a clever article that followed a piece of matèrial from being a drop of resin or other raw material

It would start in a plant on one side of the US/Mexico border and then as final assembly into a daily driver car

Every time a part went over and back it was sent through customs and taxed. Very complicated.

When I hear talk of firing government bureaucrats I wonder how the skills that these Customs inspectors will be replaced

there have been well produced tv commercials for trades people. Where will blue collar and dirty t shirt workers come from?
