One takeaway, if you don’t care to read it, is that the original video was a sort of social Rorschach test; by your initial instinctive reaction to it one could tell much about your politics and almost certainly who you voted for in the last election. The truth, as always, is in the middle.

Sadly, I know exactly what it looks like. It’s not always easy to see, and it doesn’t fit neatly into categories like the evening news (or Twitter) would have you believe.

Do you believe that the group of black religious militants (the main instigators of the whole incident) calling the white teenagers 'future school shooters' was a racist action? The same black militants also shouted at a black teenager from the school that the white teenagers would 'steal your organs' when he was old enough. Racist?

The kids say the "war cries" were actually school chants which were all they could come up with to combat the noise the crowd was throwing at them. Seems logical since they all seemed to know most of the words/songs, which would not be the case unless they had all pre-memorized random Native American war cries just in case they were confronted by a hostile pro-Indian crowd and needed to pull that tool out of their bag on the D.C. trip. Seems unlikely.
As for the tomahawk chop, I think these kids were unsure of what was happening and how to respond to it. They could have used a bit more adult supervision. I think it's much more likely these boys were behaving like the obnoxious, snot-nosed, naive little punk teens they are than doing it out of some visceral, deep seated hatred of Indians. It was disrespectful and inappropriate, but the word "racism" is greatly overused and has lost a lot of its power as a result.
Also, context is everything- unless you'd like to add every one of these people to a terrorist watch list:

Here we have a majority black team, owned by a lily white family, who has invited a black former player to lead the majority white crowd in the Tomahawk chop. And I bet not a single person there is offended or harboring a single negative thought about Indians. I'd love to see the layers of that "racist onion" peeled back...
So the MAGA swag wearing kids had no idea what was going on, and were unaware that the tomahawk and war cries in the face of an American Indian might be construed as slightly racist? Thats your story and your sticking to it? Really?
Much like the Atlanta Braves, I find the KC Chiefs routine highly insulting. Might be time for these asshole to find a new mascot. Choose a nice cute little critter to conjure up some team spirit, instead of using a race of humans that we tried to wipe of the face of mother earth. Theres no place for that kind of insensitive racist nonsense in America 2019.

Thats my point man. It's not racist. They are celebrating Indian culture. Celebrating the bravery, ferocity, toughness of the Indian warrior. You think they would name the team after something they hated or thought was inferior?
Not everything has to be so serious. Let yourself be happy. Watch some football.
I doubt a majority of the Indian Nation would view it as "celebrating their culture". I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
Please don't mistake my intense disdain for racist bullshits as me somehow being unhappy. I am blessed to live and work among the Redwoods. My church and place of worship. How could I be anything but happy?
