The total number of members is closing in on being 12 thousand. Where is everybody?

Crazy. 12,000? It seems like there is a network of about 100 people here. Good dudes (and ladies) for sure. Lurkers should become posters. Guarantee some could teach me a few new tricks.

I'm a lurker because I'm not in the business and don't feel I have anything useful to add to the threads. I'm just a homeowner with some ropes and gear that cuts and burns wood. I check this forum daily but never really have anything to contribute. I've learned a lot from here and plan to continue. So thanks guys and gals.
I'll add a funny picture of my twin boys wrestling while on rope though for somewhat of a contribution.

Just curious about your harnesses for your boys. What harness are they using, and what are the pros and cons of it? I have a 10 year old nephew that I'm looking into a harness for.

I have the boys using the edelrid finn 2 from tree stuff. http://www.treestuff.com/store/catalog.asp?category_id=2048&item=15440
The boys are 9 but have always been smaller than average. The xs size fits them but its cynched right down. They also fit their 5yr old brother when they are willing to give him a turn.

So far I haven't found anything we don't like about them. Only had one boy complain about a pinch once and that was fixed with a little adjustment.

To be honest, I'm kind of jealous of them because they seem more comfortable hanging in them than I do in my weaver 4 Dee....

I guess I should edit it to actually add pros and cons.

I would say the pros are that they are highly adjustable in size , seem to be very comfortable, and simple enough that the boys are able to put them on and get set up on their own.

So far I don't really have any cons. They haven't done a bunch of in -tree climbing. Its mainly been practice low and slow hanging in the basement with a few real climbs. So I can't tell how well they are going to hold up to being actually used.

But again, I don't have anything to compare it all to in person either so I could be way off base.

My five year old granddaughter uses the Edelrid Fraggle, which is a full body harness. It is made just like the Finn, and I think they are very well made. Very few other kids harnesses have padding. Her's is an xs and still has lots of adjustment left.
