, i use a 1/2 inch life line and was wondering what is the best dia. footlock prusik?

For mine I use 3/8 tenex. It works well I think. I know some might have other cords but it's fairly inexpensive and easy to splice.

My favorite is the 10mm beeline. Most of the orders I get are for 3/8 yalex (tenex)...usually with a piece of bungee inside of it.

none, just getting into footlocking

I have an 8mm prusik loop that works great with my 1/2' line. It was 12' when I got it and I shortened it a bit because the original length seemed unimaginably long to me. I tie the Klemheist as my ascending knot and I'm extremely happy with the results and I prefer it over the Kong ascenders that I was using. My only complaint is that 70' up that 8mm line looks pretty darn skinny
