Foot Care

Right on Bull, I can't agree with you more. In my younger days I wore my Red Wing Loggers everyday. My feet would kill me after a long week. They would be red and swollen. I finally got smart an starting wearing Red Wing hiking boots with steel or composite toes when working. If I have to put on spikes, I pull out the loggers that are stored on the bucket truck and lace them up. My feet now love me again....

I bought a pair of Cabot & Sons winter wool-blend socks this year for like $12. Seems like alot for socks, right? Well lemme tell ya, these puppies are the nicest winter sock I have ever put on my feet, and durable as he11. I'll probably have them for five years or more. Worth every penny.

I hear that. I wear Smartwool brand socks year round! single best lifestyle change I have made to benefit my well being. they do get pricey @ 15-18 per pair, but they outlast cotton socks 10x over.

I never thought of wearing my Smartwool socks year round, but I like the idea. I own two pair and love them.

Bull do you find that they overheat though in the summer?

No not at all, quite the opposite. Wool is designed to WICK moisture. they keep your feet cool and DRY all seasons. You cant wear the thick ones though. I wear these in the summer. I did just pick up a pair of their new PhD Socks. Ill let you know how different they are, if any..? Trust me on this, wear Smartwool socks, medium or light cushion in the summer, your feet WILL thank you!

the old mountain adage of Cotton Cools, Cotton Kills, applies in summer too. Except in summer cotton soaks up water and thus kills your feet with blisters and soft skin. Same as wearing too thick of socks with thick winter boots, feet cant breath and stay dry.
