Foot ascender riding up on ankle

I have the CT quick step foot ascender and am having troubles with it riding up my ankle and hurting my ankle bone. I have tried tightening it really well and adjusting it lower but it twists around my boot and rides up. Any experience with this happening?

If your not wearing some type of boot that comes up over your ankle "6" you won't ever be able try to adjust the sweet spot for you. I like to have the device located right at my ankle, maybe even just a tad bit higher because I do a lot of branch walking where I sometimes have to shimmy out to the end with my foot very close to parallel with the branch. That allows me just a little more room to put my foot in some tight areas.

You should be able to adjust it like the other stated, once adjusted it should stay in place.
