Food Thread

And that is exactly why I cook for friends and family, and not for pay. I like to cook too much to do it as a profession. I still think about starting a very high end, boutique type restaurant someday when I retire though. One of those places where you don’t get to order off the menu, you simply get whatever is being made for dinner this evening.
Let me know when. I'll make the trip for dinner !

That's the dream! I built a pizza oven on a trailer thinking to switch over to that for a profession. Did a series of larger and larger pizza nights for friends. When I got up past 25 people, I realized I don't actually enjoy cooking to order for that many folks! Glad I failed successfully before dumping too much money into the project

Good plan.
As I said earlier, restaurant business is hard, long hours, and not a lot of $$$.

We’re big fans of having breakfast foods for dinner. Tonight we did bacon, sausage, ham, pancakes, and the biggest omelettes I’ve ever made. My omelette had bacon, sausage, ham, mushroom, cheddar, American cheese, provolone, and mozzarella. We ran out of Swiss, or I would’ve done that too. They come out so pretty looking with the hinged omelette pan.

Condiments !

I like condiments, spices, sauces, etc.
I “over-dress” my salads, pasta, meats, etc. – because I like it that way.

Chili Crisp Condiment:
I was in Walmart to buy some Kikkoman Soy (because it is cheap; it is not the best) for making Jerky.

On a whim, I bought some Chili Crisp condiment. I had never heard of the brand.
Laoganma - Spicy Chili Crisp Sauce.

I have home-made chili crisp before; this is MUCH better than mine !

I used it on pizza today ! ! !
