Find me a picture game

Re: picture game

Well done! Yes I knew it existed, but didn't know how easy it would be to find a picture. Its in Oxford, been there for nearly 20years I would think. The council wanted the owner to take it down but locals protested and its been there ever since. It still gives me a laugh when I see it. I came passed it at the weekend on the way back from London and thought it would be a good challenge.

Could you fill me in on how to get pictures to show up with my post rather than just by attachment? Are you just pasting it in?

It's pretty easy. What I do is :

1) Find a photo on the internet and right click it.
2) Then click on properties.
3) Copy the address (http//...) of that picture.
4) Write your post and click "image"
5) Paste the picture's address in the window that appears.
6) Submit the post.

Try it. It's not too hard. I find it even easier when you have two windows open before you start. This way you can copy and paste between the two pages/sites. /forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Re: picture game

To do it with your own attachment, create your post along with the attachment, then view the post. Right-click the link to your attachment and get the URL as previously mentioned, then edit your post and insert the link, as previously mentioned.

!!! CAUTION !!!

In either case, please consider that the number of households in the U.S. which are limited to dial-up Internet connections are still at about 50% of the total.

Be very, very considerate of them when embedding images in your posts. 100KB is near the upper practical limit for acceptable image size for attached/embedded images.

Thanks,
Glen

Re: picture game

That was quite easy really!

Of course his name was trigger. A better question would be what was the name of his dog?

I tried to find a decent picture of a good pruning job that I enjoyed doing but don't seem to take many of pruning jobs for some reason. Also couldn't really match that one of marks!

I'm thinking this thread may have run its course. Anybody got a new idea?
