The jib will need to have the extra hydraulics added. Do they make you run an additional 4 lines from the bottom? Or is it possible to utilize the jib lines with a swap function electric box (if I'm saying it right)

What boom do you have?
For now this is what I have...no manual jibs. It is too short for my area, for much other than log picks...unless right up on the tree (and it isn't huge).

I'm hoping to upgrade it to a 100' side reach in a year or 2. I made sure the truck was big enough to be able to fit a larger crane on it. Freightliner fl112 with 20k front axle, and a tag axle (that I'll change to a pusher then) 73k gvw currently. Fassi 270a crane with 1,852 lbs at max 59' side reach (72' vertical)

Thanks guys! I'm excited. Carl the reason i went with the k boom is being able to add the grapple saw down the road..

Good deal, I have the Mecanil SG280 for mine... in the pano picture I posted (click on it to make it bigger). Also in the picture you can see the side of the jib, the aluminum box with hoses is the splitter valve you mentioned that splits the elevation/extension circuits into rotation/grapple circuits. The fluid travels from the box to the hose reel, the hose reel has 4 hoses that run to the tip of the jib.

If I have a Mec built for me, I will look heavily into having two extra circuits added for the grapple saw vs splitting functions. It may be impractical/expensive to some, but I would like it. That would replace the hose trays on the outer boom with two hose reels, one for the jib (elevation/extension) and one for the grapple (open/close and rotation).

Ahhhhh, the way you mentioned that I figured we'd talked, but I didn't have a clue haha.

Did we have a discussion about a son/father/member of this board/multinational quagmire?

The reason Iam trying to add weight to the rear of the truck so i can work off the front also. Hook lift would be awesome! But if the box is off i would lose the counter weight? Maybe i could add a custom rear bumper 3" thick? My truck is pretty short thus the need.
