finally got a website up

Make sure it is mobile friendly. Everyone completes their honey do list on the way home while sitting at red lights. Make sure your site is easy for the hubby to google on his phone, figure out exactly what you do, and be able to contact you in the time that it takes to sit at a red light. Being slightly facetious, but you get the point. I cant remember the exact number, but the majority of internet searches are done on mobile devices now.

TC, I read through the site and had some thoughts. That being said I'm not and English major so I showed it to my daughter who is actually. Personal opinion would be to make it more readable. First paragraph should be broken up into probably 3 sentences. 2nd paragraph should probably be 5 or 6 sentences. This would just make it a little more readable, and give the reader a chance to absorb each piece of information that is given.

Yes I've checked and checked it pulls up fine on my phone and others but I have an outdated (3 years old) tablet that cuts the scrolling pictures in half but its fine on my girlfriends iPad.

Thanks for the heads up monkeylove I barely made it through high school haha I'll look into it. My father ended up using vista print to build it. Apparently they are much better at building websites than making it grammatically correct.

Credentials. I see your working towards ISA certified arborist. I would joins some of the professional organizations like TCIA and your local ISA chapter and then post that on your web-site.

So that is a VistaPrint website eh? I have been a little curious as to what they looked like. Are you able to edit the site as you go, or is that what you have to live with? I ordered some magnetic signs for my girlfriends truck and thought about doing a website through them. Thanks for being our crash test dummy, er I mean crash test mannequin

Are you guys really Bill and Ted? Excellent! Dude you shoulda called it Bill and Ted's Excellent Tree Service, lol. Seriously, that kind of hook could make the real difference in such a competitive market.

Website looks pretty good. Just have some brainiac proofread it for typos and clarity. Keep updating over time.

And call me when you get swamped or need help on a big project.

Here's my website - I'm not quite satisfied but it keeps evolving over time. Weebly pro is pretty affordable and allows me to make any changes I want whenever I want. www.ravenclimbing.com

Good luck with March madness, haha. I guarantee everyone in town will want their Oaks pruned next week, happens every year.

KS you can edit as you go. basically they take any of your content throw it all together and let you tell them the changes to make two times. Then they turn it over to you but I believe they offer some free help as you continue to improve, add photos etc. IMO you could probably do it yourself if you had the 8-10 hours to stumble through the do it yourself sites. But we got a deal on it that included some optimization etc.

Raven dude I know! We had a long debate about it including polling all my family. we decided to try to go more professional with the name plus we thought younger folk wouldn't get it in ten years. and so started with total tree and shrub care llc and a week later I saw someone from hastings that was total tree care. Our paperwork was already filed so hastily settled for Greenbird. I'm actually waiting on two calls for oak prunes go figure!!

I just browsed through. I like the overall feel.
Personally I would like to see a better picture of you. I like to see who will be coming onto my property. Shave that f'ing beard off and make yourself look professional. ( just my opinion )
Also the pictures in the removals section were too small.

There's nothing wrong with a beard.. If a person (or company) doesn't hire you because you have a beard, tats on your arm, bleach blonde hair.. That's their problem. The way one looks doesn't mean they do a lesser or unprofessional job. (My opinion)

Although I do agree with a close up/clear picture of you and any work you do. A picture speaks a thousand words
