Fiddle block connection

What is the consensus of connecting a fiddle block to the rigging line to remove slack? Can a rope grab be used or does that pinch the rigging line too much? Would a prussic be a better choice?

My preference has always been to use a Klemheist loop since there is the slip/grab safety in case of overloading.

Rope grab would be nice but in the event of shock loading would have to worry about it cutting/stripping the rigging line. So I have always just used a 7 wrap french prussic to attach mine as well I keep the slack tended on the porty to prevent overloading the fiddle block.

Have always used some kind of hitch with cord. Mechanicals have a good chance of damaging the rope easyer.
