Feb 3 - Rutland State Park, MA

Location
MA
Bear and I are planning a rec climb for Sunday, February 3rd at Rutland State Park (Rutland, MA). 10-3pm

Men and women are welcome! We are going to practice a bit of aerial rescue if anyone is interested.

PPE is a shall during this climb. Bring your own water/snacks & lunch, warm clothes, and your own climbing gear.

After entering the Whitehall Pond/Rutland State Park road, follow to end, there's a beach at the very end on the left after the pond, let's meet up there.

Hope to see some of you there! :)

Cheers,
Melissa

...a nice little warm up for 'Grows'! Sounds like a great time. I should be there.

Ok I will not be able to swing that gig. My sister won't be in Mass for the weekend and I just got some work that will keep me busy for few weeks. Hope you guys don't have too cold weather.

Do have another sister in Vermont so I might try to swing that climb.

Swing it man, swing it! Let's pump that one up. I can hardly wait to climb some VT woodlands!

OK, I'll do it, but Bear has to help me understand how she aces AR at the comps! Oh, and please don't tell me it has anything to do with that pesky little red book!

Strum Strum Banjo,
Pesky little red book...oh yeah baby. It's all about the book and Communication. It will be my pleasure to share any tricks I have with you.
Best,
Bear

Glad you found the trees Banjo. As always seems like not enough time on these climbs to hang with everyone. We may need to evolve one of these meet-ups into a weekend event. Goodaking took it in that direction for his annual winter rec climb. Would be excellent to find a site to have a campfire and tent/treeboat camping etc.

Thanks Melissa annd Bear for making it happen, always great to see your engaging and positive attitudes about climbing, safety and skills improvement!

Hi All!

Great day indeed! Thanks everyone for making it out! 21 people, wow great show!

It was a great combination of newbies and experienced climbers and everyone in between. I was impressed at your dedication to make it out on the wonderful winter cold day.

I know Bear and I had a blast. Such a pleasure to be in such humbling company!

Warmly,
M

PS- Looking forward to the next time!

I know I was thinking the same... damn 21 people! I worked Sat and spent Sunday with the family. Glad you guys had fun, but hurry up and plan another.
