I was waitig for that... And obviously could have deleted that particular cut, BUT left in in at the beginning for a reason.

That was expected.. a controlled risk.. tip brushed the roof, did no damage.

I actually didn't like the cut, but defered to the groundman, ASking his opinion after the rigging was set. "I don't mind tips brushing, but there has to be no damage". He gave me the thumbs up and I cut it without another word. I didn't like the look of it, but trusted him. Made the day just a little sweeter.

I could have saved a life today,

I think some of the people who have voiced concerns may know what they are talking about. Im just a palm tree trimmer. My logging experience pales in comparison to yours but I have been doing this long enough to say that youd be the 4rth guy I knew who died doing this...if you indeed die doing this.

yeah, ez, i thought about it at work today, i meant to post that was a good one.

i saw that swipe though, not just the tip, gave that house a little more of the shank.

plus other trees and bushes receiving the same old bashing and smashing.

i only watched it twice, but it seems like a maple or something was snapped off at one point. maybe they had pre-cut it and wanted it to snap off. :)

If that happened on a tile roof here....there would be bits and peices of tile every where. I geuss the roof tiles back east are built to take a lickin.

Ofcoarse he would win in a fight to the death against Marc Powell, but I wonder who could eat more icecream?
