Failing Pine

Back side is gone. 4 hours just to remove the back side.
Neither crane could reach. The front was too tall and had to be bombed/rigged. Tim Johnson yelling at me "DONT HIT THE DATE PALMS. LOTS of yelling. Just insane. My nerves are shot. The tree is safe. I wish I could say I was out of harms way the entire time but Ill bet at least 20 percent of the time up there, Id would have been a dead dude if it would have failed. Many people watched and 3 had video cameras on us the whole time.
My kingdom for some two way radios. Thats all I needed.
I want to thank all of you who gave me advice on this tree.
Tim J and Mark M wont so on their behalf as well, thank you.
Spider legs did wonders once we got my "Death channel" cleared. The helmet camera died for the good stuff.

Dang dude just tell'em straight up to please stop yelling. You don't need that crap and it doesn't make their date palms any safer. They need to thank you for taking the risks you're taking and behave like smart guys and let you do your job.

I'm looking forward to the video too.

Hey Chip I meant there was alot of yelling in communication. Hostility levels were actualy low. Two way radios are the way to go, as seen in some of Jamin Mayers crane vids. That dude is cool as a cucumber up there.

glad your still on this side of the ground... 25-35 an hour seems way cheap, but I'm not living in a "right to work state" either. good job and looking forward to pics/video

That tree sucks, must have left if to the end so cause it looked appealing with its lean. I have only met Tim J at seminars and would have gussed he would have been ready to take that out sooner due to it's condition. Great job Jesse.

Tim J is the man. It is he that cracked the whip on Tidy to get out yesterday. I feel bad for Tidy though, I sure hope the bill was adjusted to pay for the extra 2 crane rentals.
I feel ok to climb in the tree now that the back side is gone, so they will only need one crane on Thursday.

Jesse, are you saying you climbed that tree? or used one of the crane's for work positioning.

I used a crane to tie into for the back side Grover. We had 1 70 ton and 1 90 ton out on Monday.
Today I am climbing in what is left of the tree. Ill do my best to get some vid up tonite.
