Eye Splice on Vermeer chipper

What eye splicing should I use on a Vermeer chipper the manual said that it is 7/16 spectra? Class 1 or Class 2?

Is Class 2 for pretty much everything that isn’t Nylon or Polyester?

I believe they call them high modulus fibers, ie uhmpe, aramid, etc.
They're 'slippery' compared to polyester and nylon hence the longer buries

Can I use the Samson Splicing manual?

Yep, Samson has great instructions.

Brummels are a little weaker than straight buries but have some advantages as well. from what I understand some of the high modulus fibers can self abrade so that may be a factor as well.

I've done a few winch lines and usually straight bury and lock stitch with throwline. Chipper winch sees a ton of wear at the end so I just use knots.

Only the aramids, Technora, Kevlar, and Twaron, self abrade, Dyneema, Spectra, and Vectran don’t.
