Thanks Mangoes.

I'm like most others i should think; reluctant to pay for quite expensive standards without having a clue of the content. This appraisal being for free and available on the net, i thought a good opportunity for arbs to see what standards are being set for work at height.

Like it or not, we are rope access workers. The only difference is we are also trained in bio-mechanical engineering, rather than industrial/structural. And climbing on a unique biological organism, a little more extreme due to reduced safety factors and arb principles.

However, the general concepts remain the same. Only the more extreme nature of our work encourages a cowboy mentality rather than professional. We will always require the 'Euc' in us, but 'Oak' is the way forward for professional recognition, unity, increased value, reduced accidents.

Other learned pros at height might then nod their heads instead of shake it when they see us try to race a tree down or melt our prusiks.
