Ergovation or TreeMotion Saddle?

i have both and prefer the ergo. they both have their ups and downs. I tend to sit and spike more so the back pad is clutch on the ergo. The lower D rings on the TM are awesome too. I wish i could mash them together and get one incredible saddle. The downfalls of the ergo for me are the bulk, how it likes to become unadjusted from time to time, and the rigging plates could be turned into d rings like the TM. The downfall of the TM for me is the leg pads, they just pinch in the worst way from time to time no matter how I adjust it. The padding on the TM legs is also subpar and gives crappy support compared to the Ergo leg pads. I am 6'1" 190bls for a reference.

dmmjunkie, TM adjustment must be perfect to get comfort out of those leg pads...I can sit for a long time in suspension with it and no discomfort...If it is pinching check your hip to lower D adjustment...I like my leg pads firm but not tight...mine are easily moved....it is hard to explain adjustment without demonstration.....try adjusting it again ( hip to lower D ).... you might get some more comfort

I don't do production work. When I retired my old rig I tried a lot of stuff. I chose the New Tribe Oynx Rope Bridge for my new harness. It is comfortable and I am getting it dialed in. Some of the stuff I do requires long hang times...so far so good. Packs up well for travel. Designed and sewn in Oregon by folks I know makes it even better!

I just received my TM S. light yesterday. I went with the light version because my employer would actually get it without breaking the bank. I hung from it just long enough to get some of the adjustments done and get a first opinion. So far I can't compare my old Weaver floating D to it. Its like going from feeling like I just have a rope wrapped around my body to laying in a hammock. I'm excited to get into the trees today! Now watch I will go in and be air spading today...

thanks swing, i get what youre throwing down for the adjustments. Im gonna give it a whirl tomorrow at work, hopefully i can get out of the fall arrest harness and that damn bucket to do so.

swing, i finally dialed it in and whoa what a world of difference. Those lower D rings are the beez neez, i dont think ill ever look back at that bulky thing that i used to fly around in.

It would be nice to see them come out with some "comfort leg pads" like they did with the back pad

I have been climbing on a tree motion since Jan 09 the first on lasted till dec 10 doing production work, rec climbs, and competition climbing with a couple of part replacements until I took a weird 14' fall off a stob ladder I was cleaning up and I started to question the integrity of the saddle. My last one I bought used off this site in dec of 10 and couldn't be happier. I have rebuilt it twice since then. I replaced the stock back pad with the comfort pad this time and put new leg padding in for the first time. It really is like a new saddle. The only two things I don't like about the saddle after five and a half years is the lack of fall arrest for bucket work as I climb out of the bucket often and the damn waist strap buckle. The buckle needs the be bigger like the butterfly buckle. Other than than those two items I don't know how you could get a better tree climbing saddle with out having one custom built for you.
