What are you buying this year?

I’m a guppy right now so my sights are low.
I’m toying with a few upgrades and add ons here, starting with the most reasonable
Milwaukee power pole
395
Big shot, new saddle
Dump truck
Grapple truck

Avant 528...purchased

Will probably buy a Branch Manager and possibly an auger for that.

Was tempted by the Milwaukee pole saw...and pole pruner.

ISC Reflex? But Arbsession says not shipping until March now :(

Black Friday sale on the power pole ;)
the saw or pruner? I've seen the saw advertised $599 with a 12Ah battery (normally the tool by itself is $599). I hadn't seen a deal on the pruner. Have you seen better?

Just for clarification/reference what I'm looking at:

pruner:

Pole saw

I was just referring to the pole saw, yes that was the price I had seen too. There was a few variations of it. One had 3 chains and another came with a rear handle , but only one battery and of course the price was a bit more for each of those

Ordered a box of nine degree double hard woodmizer bandsaw blades for the mill we got this year. Supposed to be better in frozen wood etc for some winter lumber fun.
Maybe a replacement 14' dump trailer for my 10(?) yr old 12'.
Probably should check in with accountant on where we are as to deductions/taxes.
And of course the black friday buy of definitely necessary gear.

Happy milling!! I hope to mill up a few logs this winter too; a fat redwood and a blue oak that I think will be spectacular. My neighbor got a mill, but he doesn't have nice logs, and I have the opposite problem, so a natural parntership has formed.

Where are you seeing Milwaukee saw deals?

I saw the same deal at local Village Hardware. This morning saw online Ohio Power Tools had free 14" top handle with the big 18" rear handle saw.

Here is the pole saw with battery for the same price as the pole saw alone:

They also have 12%.off non sale Milwaukee...so I've thought about just buying the pole saw for $72 off. I have several batteries. But then I think "there's no such thing as too many batteries!"

We bought a stump grinder as our largest end of the purchase. Thinking a new estimator whip will be our final large end of year purchase , looking hybrid for possible tax incentives haven’t done all my homework just hearsay on what’s available for hybrid or electric tax incentives. New Toyota sequoia comes to mind with the hybrid 6 cylinder ..herd some issues with the previous years motors in that configuration ..still cleans drool from my face ;,)
As now I’ll refer to this for my end of year list/ wish list
Needed another ladder for odd jobs to ride on little chip truck probably a gorilla ladder with all the settings for step and extension ladders.
New fresh pole set with pruner and saw head.
Couple new hand saws various sizes and teeth count more fine pruning
I’m still looking for a really good battery power pole clip, may settle for big red brand offering
Got some new Stihl battery clips ,the long reach models are awesome hla66
50 gal drum of husqvarna premix 50:1
Another footie
Stop / slow sign
New chainsaw pants
Worked echo2511t
Worked Stihl 201tc

Apparently nobody wants to give me a Black Friday discount on the Reflex. I was ready to be an "early adopter" if I could save $60 or more. Guess I'll wait.

I decided to pick up a 3/4" Stable Braid bull rope.

I rarely use more than half-inch, but hung a root-pulled tree on Tuesday off another tree and it reminded me that storm work is never a time to be questioning if something is strong enough.

A couple Protos.

Odds and ends.

No big purchases...I haven't worked as much this year as typical, more from personal reasons than work availability.

That pruner is amazing. I've used it on a job and made multiple dozens of cuts and been surprised the battery didn't even show dropping one bar. Very capable tool.

It feels a tad heavy in use...and I've used power polesaws almost daily for 10 or 20 years.

Called to dump trailer dealer and they have the manufacturer derate gvw for ~$100 to avoid cdl issues. Griffin, Iron Bull, and PJ as in stock options $8-9kish for 14' and a couple 16'
That’s not bad pricing, the only one of those I am familiar with is PJ, I don’t think they are the strongest trailer for hauling logs, but the price is hard to beat.

We’ve been looking at a new Belmont DLX series, 16 foot, 16 K. About $20,000.
