edelrid tree magic

hey, just wondering if anyone climbs using the edelrid tree magic harness. ive been using mine for quite a while now and despite the fact that its fully adjustable i just cant seem to stop the leg loops from riding up when im resting all my weight into it. anyone else had this problem?

Your biggest problem is not the leg loops. Try adjusting the bridge. If your loops are sliding up then your center of gravity on the bridge is off. Too long of a bridge pulls the groin, too little bridge and it tries to flip you backwards.

Hope this helps.

i see what your getting at there but i dont think my weights the issue! the tree flex does look good from what ive seen but is it a pain to get into and out of, what with having no waist clip?

hey, thanks for the advice, i have adjusted the bridge many times and it has made a great deal of difference, the problem seems to be that the leg loops slide around causing the padding to be on the side of the leg instead of supporting underneath which leads to trapped balls and all kinds of pain, ever encountered this?

Nope. Did you undo the the original strap set on the legs? If so that might be the prob.

What I did was set my leg straps so it was snug, but still able to slid off when donning on and off. After that I tucked the extra strap lenght back over the buckle and into the 2 bungie straps on the leg pad.

I attached a pic. I have to say set like this I have never had the leg pads move.

that makes sense now you say that, i always kept the leg loops a bit looser just for ease of getting the harness on and off but that may be the cause. il have a play around with it over the next couple of days and see if its any better. thanks for the advice.
