dynasorb ropes?

It's really this rope : http://www.yalecordage.com/arborist-rope/rigger-s-line/polydyne.html, under a different name. There is not a significant difference from Double Esterlon, Stable Braid, Sta-Set, etc. I've been using similar lowering lines, the Husky line from AllGear Inc., for 5 years or so, with good results. I don't push the limits by any means, working within the 5-7 to 1 safety factor.
It really depends on "how you rig", and what loads you expect from your ropes and what type of rigging (below the block, above the block, static lifting) you do.
Most my spliced eye double braid slings are of this combination DB (polyester cover/nylon core), to help absorb the energy when I want that to happen.

I'll echo what Norm said.

I laughed when I first heard about Yale's Polydyne because we've been selling Husky from All Gear for several years now. Some people used to give me a hard time because it has a nylon core, but now it is kind of the hot thing thanks to Yale.

I haven't noticed a tremendous difference (except for price) between Husky and other double braid bull ropes, but as always it comes down to what you are comfortable with.
