Drones and Treecare

I thought I had posted about this but I couldn’t find it. Last year I heard a rumor I was going to get some kind of certification for drone usage, but that never seemed to happen. Curious what kind of applications some have used or heard of. Integrating with inventory systems, aerial inspections and even line setting or more. @kmac mentioned Photogrammetry in a previous thread I had made about GIS.

dont know about that cert, but an octocopter hanging a climb line that can be flown by the climber would be great for trees that can not be damaged at all, tie rope to drone, install friction cord/unicender, and fly to the tree

I think this could be great tool for assessments, whether doing a hazard report or for bidding jobs. From what I've read to get decent optics you will need to pay over $1000
