Double-Tied when Spurring Conifers

I'm going to one up them yet. I'm teaching my 2ed climber to srt. He's a willing, quick learner. I think i can come up on my own several ways to cover different scenarios of potential rescues situations that can happen on srt.
I feel I'm hitting a block wall trying to have N.A.T.S certifie me. Ever hurtle I jump, they twist it up not being helpful. It's frustrating being treated like an idiot.

Let's get togeather sometime and flank NATS with technical climbing prowess. They will be to busy chasing the other dumbasses down to bother with us afterwards.

I still think a basal tie is setting yourself up for an accident. In your scenario of a unresponsive climber, the basal tie does nothing to help the airial rescuer. I am a firm believer in self rescue. A cinched anchor will always allow you to reach the ground.

I need to add more info to this. If your climber is unresponsive and lanyarded in, as he would be in most struck by incidents, the lowerable base anchor will only get him to sit harder in his lanyard.
