Any feedback on the Dolmar 6400?

Very solid running and working saw. We use them with a 24" bar.

The 7900 weighs the same........but has way more hp.

I have to agree with Mike on this one. Go with the 7900. I would say comparable to the 272 husky's of old. Nice saws if you have a dealer close that offers good service.

What is the reason you want feedback on the 6400 Vl2007.
I'm running the 7900 on a weekly basis with a 19 or 28 inch bar. I really love that saw. I bought that model saw because it's the most powerful saw in it's weight range. This advantage point is not valid for the 6400. The 6400 is 300 grams lighter but it also has more than one hp less power.

I just bought a 6400...trying to forsee any problems that could come up. Sounds like you are getting your moneys worth from your 7900.

As you will get yours out of your 6400.
The only thing that broke on my 7900 was the spring on the starter mechanism.

So far the dolmar 6400 is performing well. A nice light weight saw with ample hp.
