I guess the title is self explanatory.

Just recieved a 200' hank of Addiction for HH2 and hopefully the Akimbo when that comes out.

the past few years i've been climbing on lines with splices at both ends so no milking concerns.

please advise,
and thanks in advance.

no sir.
all my other lines have splices from my hitchclimber days.
this sterling will be srt exclusive

i'm just talking about a whiplock on both ends to keep it from fraying/milking.

and for style

My only htp experience is a long lanyard (9mm). It milked alot for what it is. I just use a prusik with a little weight like you're descending. I have heard of other folks using bungee cord to tie a prusik. Not sure if it's any better.

just did a preliminary climb with the 11mm HTP and 8mm ArmorPrus and it was great.
really lovely.

up 50' then over threw 8 natural redirects over 60' then down 30'
i was base tied and it cleared all the redirects with ease.

really nice experience.

the HTP doesn't seem to have milked that badly but i'll keep an eye on it and probably end up whiplocking the bugger just because.

unless someone here has a good reason not to.

basic question but at what point would you consider a rope to be done milking.?

and yes.
tape or heatshrink till it's whipit time.

i thank you for your advice.
