The new boxer 700 that I looked at still had the expandable tracks. Not sure about their other units though.

The expandable tracks are great. 9" wide tracks, and 34.5" width, out to 43.5". My limiter bolts were loose, quite quickly after delivery, amongst others.

I thought new was going to be great.

New means untested in the real world.

I saw a ditch witch 1550 today for the first time in person. Wow, the thing looks like a tank.

The 1550 can do a lot, but it’s hard, HARD on turf. Unless you’re in pasture or a parking lot, you’ll need to mat everything you drive it on. That said, it can do a lot. Traction, no problem. Side-hilling? Better than any machine I’ve used (dw zahn, boxer, giant, ramrod).

Do you think diamond pattern turf tracks would make the 1550 not much worse then other minis. I know it made a big difference on my sk650. I don’t know if they make turf tracks for the 1550 yet though.
