Directional midline eye splice?

I'm wondering if there is a way to splice an eye with tenex tec, that would perform the same function as an inline 8, meaning I can tension the main line, with an eye that I can tension in one direction parallel to the main line. This is not for life support, and will not see more than 50 kg of load. Access to either end is possible while splicing. Looks are more important than function to dome degree with this project.

Are you looking for a single eye pocket like an ultra sling, but just one in the middle? If so I did that once experimenting with a lanyard. Tight eye on one end for the carabiner and a pocket near the end for SRT configurations without cross loading the carabiner.

A pocket would be ideal if I think about it, and I know how to do that in that case. My use is exactly like you were describing with your lanyard, except for a different purpose. I was thinking of a small eye big enough for a biner poking out the side of the line before. Will attach a pic of the setup using knots.

I was looking for something that has the single thickness of the rope coming out of both sides of the loop, and it not doubling back all the way. I might end up doing that anyway though, but using a pocket like described above, that is way more elegant.
You last drawing is what I know would work, but my reason for looking for something else is that I don't think loading that splice sideways (not loading the eye) wouldn't be ideal.

I ended up doing the same, but I think I'll pull it apart and try making the pocket with a separate piece of tenex, that makes everything a little lighter
