Not a good day yesterday.

my 78 yr Dad dropped on the golf course yesterday, massive heart attack. playing with his brother and friend.

luckily fireman driving by saw it and admin cpr almost right away, then next car was a nurse with artificial breather.

he has never woken up since he dropped, things were failing last night, kidneys shut down, fluid blowing up his body, labored breathing, wasn't looking good. he's been on ventilator since they got him. I had great faith and a decent feeling for a long time yesterday, then when looking so bad and only 20% heart power; faith getting challenged but I know there is still always hope if God wishes for him to spend more time on this earth with us. If it's time to go, well, then I'm personally okay with that too, cause I think he might be ready for that.

then this morning swelling all went down, so his kidneys working again, breathing is much better too.

writing this, cause we can use all the prayers we can.

yesterday, that same day, my brother was way out on a limb at a bad rope angle, limb he was lanyarded into to keep him out there snapped, he swung back hard, had to get stitches in his face.

yesterday, that same day, uncle fainted while standing on blacktop. he had had a heart attack last week. he's a farmer and doesn't know anything else but work, so he was working. he fainted and hit blacktop yesterday, neighbor delivering grain found him laying in pool of blood. He is fine.

We all can go in a blink of an eye.

cherish the time you have with your loved ones. maybe i shouldn't work so much...

crunches come in bunches . Never met you or your pop , but i'M sure he was a piece of work . Hope he recovers , hope you prepare for the worst( there is no best ) , and tell your brother and uncle to find another time to get hurt . Hey X , I miss my old man , can't replace them .

Hey, thank you all so much.

you know, we buzzers have prayed or supported other buzzers that are injured or have had friends and family die and such.

I tell ya, most of you i haven't met.

But to come home after 12 hrs at the hospital and sleep deprived, turn on the computer and read all these responses, it really is nice and helps. I'm suprized actually how nice it is to read that stuff

so thank you all.

He hasn't woken yet.

everything staying about the same.

not getting many answers or even much talk from doctors today.

more "stable" today. Heart weak still. Body still kinda in shock. No damage so far on Cat scans of the brain. Lower brain stem functions working certain reflexes.

We have a big family and everyone is here now.

We have so many people in the ICU in the waiting area, it's like the Drivers have taken over the hospital.

two people allowed to go in and see him at a time.

seems like he responds by slightly blinking his eye lids when we ask him too.

his blood pressure went up when my sister was working on him for quite a while. She's got a medical background and just flew in today. She talked to him a lot and did some massage things to his neck to try to get o2 to his brain.

well, i better quit rambling.... just unloading my thoughts i guess.

thanks again,

try to sleep now to do it all over again tomorrow.

My Dad is a tough man and just survived a massive surgery a few months ago with lots and lots of pain. Pulled through it fine. they removed a tumor from his head and lots of plastic surgery to close an eye lid and pull his face back up.

all that pain and suffering, now this. That surgery was planned and therefor did allow him to get ready for the good possiblility of dying, so that was good. He got himself and things in order for that likely possibility.

thanks all!
