Yes, I agree.

Plus this is in the "tree free zone" so the general public can't view it or find on a search unless they are a member.

So... more is allowed here I think.

Plus, if someone deserves it, I think they tend to let things go a little more.

I think that's why they don't delete Old Dirty's stuff when he says stuff back to me.

I can't help anymore on this - Daniel is gone.

He was asleep on the couch when I got home from the dinner party late last night; the television was on and the cursing of angry aqua-loggers filled the room. But he slept through it. He looked peaceful and happy, so I turned down the noise and left him there. Several potted plants and a few pieces of furniture were smartly rearranged in the living room and the soothing flow made me tired myself.

About 3am my wife woke me up and said she thought someone was on the roof. She had been uneasy about things since our new visitor had arrived, but during the day the sound of him recording voice-over work really gave her the chills. He would demand total silence throughout the house, then begin his creepy narration. He said it was for something big, "it will change the way we think about wood" but he wouldn't say anything more.

But now it was 3am and he was walking back and forth on my roof. I could hear him rattling the gutters, and dropping small stones through the storm drains. "You've got to get that weird f*cker off my roof" she said. I had no choice.

I finally talked him down; he was just "doing what I can to earn my keep" but I told him not to worry, that Treebuzz is a solid community and we help each other out. Besides, I could replace most of the food and beer with one or two good jobs. Then he told me he ordered a "substantial amount of pornography" from Comcast, he said he watches it for technical reasons having to do with angles and lighting. That's when I released the dog on him.

He moved very quickly across the yard and over the fence, into the darkness. I could hear the low rumble of his engine starting down the street and then he was gone.
 
I do remember he mentioned something about "running over boy scouts with a skidsteer" but he was mumbling and I think he was asleep when he said it, but his eyes were still open . . . weird, eh? I guess he could be headed anywhere . . .

This is exactly the kind of cross-cultural adult conversations I was hoping would evolve from this thread.

Reminder: Daniel is recording these musings for potential lawsuit in the future. I am convinced that is his next maneuver, he has exhausted all other options. I think it was the ponytail comment that pushed him over the edge.
