You could buy/make a small trailer to haul them around on. Could be an issue if you need them and don't have enough trucks to haul the trailer to the job though. MAKE sure if has a very secure way to secure them and to keep them from moving. 2 steel uprights on all 4 sides(helpful for loading/unloading if they are removable). 2 chains with ratching binders WILL NOT keep a stack of 20 from moving in a panic stop, BTDT

Thanks for all of the input. We ended up going with Boston's suggestions, ratchet-strap sidways, to the elevator housing. I'll try to post a picture later, used some short eye bolts to replace the bolts, makes loading/unloading pretty easy.

Often I've found that the easiest suggestion is the best.

For what its worth at this late hour we do the same ! i fit like 20 mats on our truck both siddes....nice
