Oh not a chance. I would need a lot better photos.

I wonder if you are thinking it is beautiful because of the Spanish Moss draping from the branches?

You might check the Illustrate Guide to the Trees of Peru by Penninngton, Reynel and Daza. It is not really an illustrated guide but rather something that needs a lot of botanical and taxonomic experence

Damian, donde esta eres?

My favourite tree is the Ficus macrophylla in the square outside Recoleta Cemetario, perhaps because you can get the La Biela special drink and sit underneath.

Ah, well, sad, maybe I need to come back some day and take better pictures, thanks anyway :)

Yeah, one of the things a liked was the moss draping but the size was quite considerable and spectacular, also loved the symmetry of the picture of the tree couple. I think the single tree is the same as the couple for what I remember of seeing the single tree from a longer distance, but yeah, I'm not a botanist.

Thanks.

I'm from a town 340 km away from Buenos Aires city, so maybe it's a touristic city for me too :) . Sadly I don't remember the tree near Cementerio de la Recoleta, though I was in the cemetery once (maybe more as a child but I don't remember), maybe this one?

I will pay attention the next time I visit the city, seems to be a nice place.

What I saw from inside the Cemetery was a terrace on top of a 10+ floor building that have a nice garden (it looked nice from the distance) and it even have a really big tree, well, "big" considering it was planted on a terrace :)

UPDATED the Street View link.
