Crossover

So when it comes to a crossover I see it used in a couple different ways - let me know if this is correct. The first on a double braid is simply where the tail and core come together, and when talking about a crossover bury with this it would be getting this part of the splice buried in the throat of the splice? The other crossover would be on a 12 strand using brummels, then the crossover would be the 2 tails (eye 2 eye) going past each other inside the core of the rope? Thanks for the help!

Yeah that sounds about right IMO.

1) It's where the core and cover bunch up against each other in a double braid splice, which you then milk in effort to get the diameter back to original size.
2) Where tapered hollow braid buries cross over each other to keep a consistent diameter.

There are probably crossovers in other splices too. Basically where 2 different buried pieces bypass each other.
