Crane day

this is what happens with too much pressure...operator can't see climber at this point. We did have 2 spotters there though. This was the only freaky part of job. That piece jumped to that height. Gave the crane a little nudge, nothing of concern though.

last pic. this weighed, according to the operator, 12k, but he's telling us he's good for only 8k at his reach. Nothing bad towards operator, which he did a killer job. Slow but smooth. Gotta love a pic like that going over the house...

Awesome pics, thanks for sharing them. We don't get much like that going on in the uk. Excuse my ignorance but which was there first the house or the trees? I can't tell how old those houses are. Did you really get them all done in a day? And the debris removed also?
I recently took down four large trees, 2 beech and 2 Syc, over a barn (stone build, @400yrs old) but there was no way to get a crane anywhere near. So eight days later with the GRCS working overtime we got it done. Bang on estimated time too. Will try and add some pics later but they didn't come out too good, it was raining most of the time.
