Cord splice question

I bought some lengths of accessory cord from Eastern Mountain sports. I thought they were like a regular double braid, so I was confident in splicing them. When I pulled out the core........it has 3 strands inside, so I'm nusure of how to proceed. What directions do I follow on Samsons website. The sheath is 16 pairs, so is it 32 or 16 strand?? The cord is sterling 6mm and 7 mm. Wanted to make my own eye splices for VT. Any info would be great.

yup, you're right. well, now I have plenty of cord for??????stuff, LOL about 20' total, lol. So where ca I buy cord for making my own, LOL I'm sure all I have to do is search I guess.

if you do the research to find out what cord you want, you can frequently buy it in a local marine supply shop. Of course, I'm all for supporting our arborist suppliers, but sometimes you just want to go in and get something instead of having it shipped.

Simple answer: 1 Kilonewton = 224.809 Pounds. Just do the math. 23KN or so, is as close as you get to 5000lb.

Complicated answer: KN is a unit of force. . . . . . . . . . .
