How funny that they used a Callery Pear as an example. I doubt they factored in 'likelihood to fail.'

As a street tree, their root flare tends to get too large for our typical sidewalks here in Providence, ultimately leading to complaints, repair work, and tree decline, or even worse, trip and fall lawsuits, which in the end take away from that $ value.
Personally they are one of my favorites, and I use them when I have the space both above and below. They tend to need little to no care, they are very disease and pest free, and they get big quickly!
