Controlling fruit on mulberries / oaks

I am curious to know whether there is actually a chemical or other control measure out there for the reduction and or ellimination of the berries on mulberries or the acorns on oaks.
Thanks, Christian.

Do a web search for a product called Florel. Check the label for compatibility. I think that I've read that some of the growth regulators will reduce fruit set too.

You might be right. It might have the effect where there are fewer but larger fruits. That is sometimes the effect of messing with hormones and fruit production.

Can you imagine having acorns or mulberries the size of cantalopes? One per tree. Watch out for when they fall :)

We have used Florel to control and attempt to control fruit set on various species. Temperatures need to be above 60/65 when using it so it doesn't work well on early flowering species. Also the amount put on the tree is temperamental - not enough and you don't get good contol - too much and you take leaves off also. We have had most success with walnuts and honeylocust. So-so success with crabs and oaks. No success with pears. Haven't tried it on mulberries though.
