Controlled free-fall (vertical speed line)

I love doing a vertical speed line. It's better watching you do it though.

The metal thing was frustrating Chris. I think 2 chains were totaled while the other 2 are now down to their last quater.

We did have a barrow but some were too big to fit in because we couldn't get the saw through. Thanks

Reg do you this it is shrapnel from WWII? The tree looked big and possibly old enough...

Yeah it was easily old enough Casey, but I dont think we got bombed this far North. I know for a fact that many of the older trees in the city of London are riddled with shrapnel. More than likely it was just a farmer or something. Thanks

Reg, I was thinking of this thread (and the metal in the tree) the other day when we were taking down a large Oak for my folks' neighbors and we hit two nails that were in the tree for about 30 years and totally grown over.

The chain was totally ruined and the funny thing is (or not so funny), I think my brother and I put the nails in the tree when we were kids and building a tree fort!!!

How's that for tree justice.
