Columnar Oak w/ Very Long Nut Acorn - not English Oak

As a kid, back in 1960’s in Eastern Ohio, we had an unusual (to me) Oak Tree.
It had a some-what columnar tree shape, and unusually long acorn nuts. (twice the length of normal oak nut)
The acorns look like English Oak, but the tree form is very columnar, not spreading.
I called it an “African Oak” – but that is probably 100% wrong.

That's very possible.
The road that it was next to has been changed since I lived there. My guess is that it is gone.
Someday, I'll make it back & check.
@ATH - Thanks
