As a kid, back in 1960’s in Eastern Ohio, we had an unusual (to me) Oak Tree.
It had a some-what columnar tree shape, and unusually long acorn nuts. (twice the length of normal oak nut)
The acorns look like English Oak, but the tree form is very columnar, not spreading.
I called it an “African Oak” – but that is probably 100% wrong.
