Same here, we pick and choose which days we work in January & feb. I won’t run our lift if it’s below -6 too hard on the hydraulics and it doesn’t like the cold to begin with. Everything else gets plugged in. Good thing is since we switched to all gas chippers no more problems with diesels not starting !

Wow, that’s cold! Have you ever tried Optima or Odyssey batteries? I don’t know if they will be better, but they may, especially the Odyssey dry cells. Don’t buy one based on my suggestion, call your local battery supplier.

Got an Optima in the skidsteer, good so far. These are in to top off and maintain, I’ve toasted enough batteries in past winters. Run one dead trying to start something, leave it outside, then it freezes and cracks…

The Deka deep cycles are damn good for dump trailers or boats, pretty sure it’s the same manufacturer as the Napa ones (2018 and tested near perfect yesterday).
