coffee

Poor Bob hasn't had a drinky pu in like 10 years. And that scotch sure would send him over the edge. Gulp, gulp, gulp, lol. That's a fact.

Here's my current crop of Islay work:

Note the Duncan Taylor 1982 Caol Ila single barrel. That's the face of god, there, boyos.

Ha! very good sir, impressed with the 1982 Caol Ila. Lagavulin is a bit special. Bruichladdich is the most accessible.

Can't drink Laphroig, too earthy for my palate, its a proper aquired taste.

Bunnahabhain is my favorite, followed closely by Isle of Jura (within a stone's throwing distance from Islay), Ardbeg is a great whiskey as well. There is a new kid on the block Kilchoman (havent tried it yet, maybe need to wait for a few years)

Beautiful! You're a total perv, Grover; somehow I knew you were into Bunnahabhain! I've never had the Jura or the Kilchoman but look forward to them someday . . . Maybe a tour of the Old Country after I make my winter run through the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. I may need EZ's contact info in case there's trouble . . .

Coffee to whiskey, got to love the buzz. On the OP I make two cups in the morning and try to stick to that. I will drink more if offered it for free homeowner brewed or boss bought. I talk too much of I have more than that.

Keep it down with all this talk of whiskey. I wouldn't want Josh to think we're a bunch of drunks.

Myself, I drink 2 pots of coffee a day. It really doesn't matter the brand as long as its hot.

Full espresso machine at home, triple-shot kickstarter in the morning is the only way to fly. Melbourne has a great coffee/cafe culture, you're never far from VERY good coffee and it aint at the franchise/chain stores.

In the US i struggled....Starbucks was terrible...giant cups of hot milk and piss weak coffee. To try to get them closer to a real coffee i had to mess with them a bit and got funny looks every time i ordered a Small (Tall??) triple shot latte only half filled with milk!

This is how coffee should look.

Yes Green tea is what I drink when I feel I've consumed too much coffee that morning.

My massage lady had nothing good to say about coffee. I didn't pick it up all the way but something to do with a muscle membrane that covers other muscle that gets "sticky" or something when you drink coffee..

good to know ..but she must not get the alternative to drinking coffee. Not moving.

Grover you would be cool if you make coffee out of one of those espresso makers. That is what I use. Never got it to come out looking as cool as Trev's coffee there but sure beats percolator.

my groundsman roasts green beans in a cast iron pan every morning. It's really pretty easy and the coffee is amazing. Starbucks is really awful stuff. I'm spoiled though. The Arabs sell green beans here. Once roasted, the oils go rancid fast. Big difference between fresh roasted. It's lucky he is my neighbor as well, the smell of roasting coffee really does get me out of bed everyday. Trev, the coffee in australlia was quite nice, sorry for your experience here. I too have a hard time when I leave my block.
