CMI RP162 Sling diameter

I see that these have a 1/2 inch rope capacity but was wondering if you can run a larger sling than that. Doe anyone know what size sling you can run with the CMI rp162?

5/8" sling will fit.

Well enough. It doesn't spread the sheaves but you have to shove my half inch rope into it when you split the block apart. It threads through fine. I use sterling atlas rope though and it is a very stiff rope that holds it shape. You probably wouldn't have that problem with a softer braid.

I will probably put together a 9/16 double braid sling when I feel like splicing.
