cmi rope washer

I wash my ropes pretty frequently. Cordage as well. Everything runs smoother clean.

Not with a rope washer though just in a front loader machine.

I've washed my ropes a few times, usually after they've been dragged through dog bombs. Always just put them in a mesh laundry bag and toss it in the washer.

i've done mine many a times in my older top load washer. just double it over and daisy chain it, then tie a knot in the end to keep it from unraveling. that machine bit the dust after 15 yrs and now we have a newer top load high efficiency that sounds like an airplane. that thing sucks! havent washed a rope since because the clothes don't even get clean.

Front loading machine, cleaar detergent for ordinary dirt, pine Sol for pine sap. Double rinse, loose coils to dry. Petal does make a rope wash detergent I'm told that works really well. FYI: don't tell the wife you washed your dog door coated rope in her washer.

Mesh bag at the laundromat. Once a year-ish maybe two. Always shocked how clean and new they look. I do it more than I need to because it feels like buying a new rope.
