Clothing with company logo

Just a random thought today. Can having clothing with company logo ever get to be to much?

I know some people like it and some don't. I had some made for us and got mixed comments but majority has been positive.

Also do any of you put restrictions on where that clothing can be worn?

I ask workers to wear plain colored clothes, no logos or words. I'm working with a guy to design something a little more legit.

Let's see pics of your shirts!

My work t-shirts/jackets had my company logo across the back, shoulder area. That's it...

Same for polo shirts. Simple.

Too often it seems like companies get enthralled by the NASCAR look. A tshirt is made into a billboard. No phone numbers etc.

I asked my employees to be respectful of where they wore their work shirts/jackets. No bars, etc. There was never a problem, at least none that got back to me :)

I agree Tom. The Nascar look is dorky as hell for everything except Nascar.

I think Hi-viz green or yellow with dark simple logo on back looks sharp and prfessional and safe.

I'm not offended personally by the grubby Playboy shirt one guy has that seems to be allowed in our shop, but it does not look very pro. I would disallow stuff like that.

One time I was in a "gentle mens club" and a well known to the buzz company was there in full force for an employees bach. party representing in company shirts and all. Had a great time parting with those boys!

In my first few years, maybe half of my work came from tavern/bar clients. Some from me some from employees. Nearly all before 7:00 pm( and after 5). I am ok with wear it where you like, just not to jail.

Always prefer a crew with company shirts with a large logo on the back and a smaller one on the left breast. Just be sure to not skimp on supplies to the crew.

im thinking about safety yellow shirts with dark green logos for ours. simple company name, logo and phone number. im a bit hesitant with safety yellow though. everyone has yellow shirts here and it may be hard to tell whos who if 3 other companies use safety yellow. not too many with orange here but orange gets dirty and looses its brightness. suggestions?

Your right orange is hard to see at dusk and dawn when dirty.

As far as yellow, you could pony up and get the shirts that have the reflective tape to set you apart.

I keep my look simple as with the others. No phone number, as I never seen anyone pull a number off a shirt.

As far as cleaning the hi-viz yellow. Someone showed me a trick in a top load washer. Add hot water then bleach during the fill cycle. Then add the shirts. Be prepared to screw it up if the bleach touches the shirt before then. Should come out clean. Spot clean with oxyclean before washing really dirty shirts.

Before I knew this I had to add the price of a shirt to each bid. Needless to say I am not a laundry pro.

Also, I like t-shirts with a breast pocket. I know it catches saw dust but I need a place for the check when the job is complete.

Good luck in your shirt choice.

Getting company t-shirts and hoodies was one of the best investments I have made. It made my rag tag little crew feel more legit and also made us feel more like a team. I have given a lot of shirts out to friends, family, and even a few customers. I never thought about where they might go with it. I dont have the company phone number anywhere, not on the shirts not on the trucks or in advertisements. I dont want just any old person calling me.

I've my own company logo shirts, black shirt and white small logo on the chest...

The treehugs (dutch treeclimbers forum) shirts are great, I remember a picture rip tompkins wearing one...hang on, I'll even post it right now ;-)
