Closing more jobs in this economy

I have about a 90% estimate acceptance from repeat and new customers combined.

In other words, 9 estimates accepted for every 10 I provide.

Lately I've noticed an increase in the frequency of repeat work and referrals that is better than anticipated. Part of it may be postponed wants and needs that they can't or don't want to postpone anymore.

Often that is a sign of savings fatigue. Ours is a consumer driven economy so when people hold back out of fear of job loss- that often doesn't materialize- the effect is pent up demand. Eventually, there fears not realized, people just get tired of waiting and start spending again. It won't show up in the economic reports as those are about a quarter behind.

We continue to be busy, knock on wood!

We've had a good bump in sales the past 2-3 months as well. Its nice, as last year alot of jobs were getting sold as just 1 or 2 man day jobs and didnt really fill much of the schedule, now alot more 3-4 man day jobs and some 8-10's are popping in there too, plus we do work for alot of the local universities and we've gotten a good influx of work from them this year as well.

I spent the past 2 days at Smith College in Northampton, MA installing lightning protection in some big guys if thats any indication of things. :)
