Climbing softwood trees?

Shane, gonna say it's a good call to pass on that for now. It's super discouraging to be over your head in a tree, losing money.

Where in Florida are you?

I would like to learn the right way how to rig complicating stuff and be proefficient at doing so. I have been using a port o wrap and sling with a good isc rigging block and a few good ropes and pulleys. My dad is normally the one helping me and he is an engineer so he has good ideas and was in forestry when he was young..but as we all know it is much more than tie a rope to that S O B and fire up the chainsaw!! Whewww lol hopefully i can find someone who will teach me correctly and ive been thinking about looking into ISA school. I really like doing it. For the exercise and the rush. Plush who doesnt like cutting down trees with badass chainsaws??!! Lol and i am going to continue with jobs i know i can handle just to gain experience and mainly im going to be advertising stumpgrinding.

20170814_134230.webp i was wearing chaps btw..its just so hot in fl. I did these 4 medium oaks last weekend which sucked because they were beautiful..but the people insisted on removing them after the hurricane20170916_110540.webp 20170916_110537.webpthere was four anyways.only 2 left in pics i took

That's a well-formed hinge on the pine. Might be a little thin, depending on cirmcumstance, but you're obviously doing a lot right. Good saw, helmet, chaps, wood hauler... looks like you're in the game man.

I'm in North Central Florida. Feel free to come up for a day, if I can help.

Also, @Travor is in your area. You might follow him around a bit, but watch out - he'll try to get you on video, tossing him an ice tea. Good or bad, you're tossing skillz will be on Instagram. ;)

Haha cool! Thanks! I might take you up on that. Yeah it was only about 20ft of trunk when i dropped it. Depending on what part of North Florida you are in and might take me a few..like after new years before I could get up there because I just spent all my money on a new 35hpvanguard, grinder, and a little husky 550xp instead of a truck lol i try not to leave brevard in my old tahoe. But it gets the job done and pulls my trailer well .

Its a 576xp..it has auto tune. Which im not too sure about.. but so far they have given me no problems and run real good like a raped ape. I also did the little muffler mod on my 550xp and it is nasty i love it

...let you handle this...

No, I'm trying to stay out of conversations that involve zoology and appropriate sexual conduct, ever since that old video we shot in a cheap motel room with three circus midgets, a hooker and a St. Bernard dog resurfaced on YouTube.
