climbing other than trees

Not a business, but I will be less scared the next time I'm on my (steep) roof now that I know how to secure myself with a rope tied to something on the other side of the house. Will feed the rope through some old garden hose to keep it from chafing on the peak while I move transversely.

When I first started my own company I climbed the wood poles on driving ranges to install the cables and netting while things were slow,

For several years I helped a USFS research scientist by collecting various samples and insect traps
Shoveling snow off roofs
Steam melting ice dAms
Dismantled a radio antennae about 70' tall

When I lived farther up north removing snow off the roof was a big winter thing. That was always done T&M so it made us money when we were slower. We also changed light bulbs on airport towers as a small airport up there, also T&M. I think once you step outside the relm of trees you almost have to use Time and Materials or its difficult to make any money at it.

Replaced screws for a Log cabin's metal roof. I have heard that there is a lot of money to be made putting up and taking down Christmas lights.

Roof snow

Got that kite this summer, and another kitty last week.

Nothing pays quite as good as tree work though.
