Started in 2000 at age 24. I worshipped Mark and Beddes. I was considered a progressive climber back then. I’m 47 now and only a few side jobs come my way a year. But they still make me feel good. The other day I tuned into Beddes’ 2007 Masters climb and saw for the first time him tie into two Alpine Butterflies on ascent line. Wish I saw that when I was 27. I have chosen not to learn SRT. I have never rope walked. I am not progressive/ not progressing but I remember my past. Tree climbing is neat.

Started climbing regularly at 46 Now 51. I’m planning on at least another 10 years. I’m a believer in not focusing on production and rushing. I think that helps keep me and my crew from getting hurt or worse.
Whaddya mean, not focusing on production? Then wtaf are you doing?
Pisses me off that sort of talk.
Get on with it ffs, show some hustle, shake a leg, get a bloody move on!
Get the job done, cash the chèque on to the next till you die or retire.
No time for dicking around.

Lol! We get plenty done. No one on the crew is a slouch! I liken it to the “just one more run” when skiing. My take, as the owner, is that we can finish another day.
