I tried the makita xcu06t a little over a year ago now and was disappointed with it. The marketing on youtube was very compelling. I don't think 18v is adequate. Returned it to the store after a few days and got a refund. The size and weight are certainly impressive for climbing, but the torque, spin up, and chain speed were not adequate for professional work. I had trouble steering pieces and getting through wood quick enough to make clean cuts. The edges of prune cuts looked like a shredder was used. Chatter. It cuts even worse on small diameter branches where you need a fast chain speed and light pressure. Two of my peers also were excited to try it, but gave it back right away and said "nah". It did fine cutting 2x4s in the yard though. For the price point, it is not a good value (imo) as a professional tool.
