Chipper plates in canada

I'm looking at picking up my first chipper. It will be used. Do they require plates like a trailer? Any Canadian guys on here, specifically Quebec that could shed some light. Thanks

Quebec requires them as far as I have known and seen. In Quebec

BC = a big fat yes and if it used for work and has trailer brakes etc, you will need a commercial inspection not just a trailer plate.

Yes plates are required in Quebec. Initial inspection when registering and annually if weight is greater than 10,000 lb/4500 kg.
